Board of Directors Election

Each year, eligible NVEC members may seek nomination for board director positions up for election through the petition process established by NVEC’s bylaws. In 2025, NVEC members will elect Directors representing Districts 1, 4, and 9. Click here to view a map of the director districts.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible to run for the Board of Directors, candidates must:

  • Be a member in good standing of NVEC
  • Have electric service in the district they seek to represent
  • Meet all qualifications outlined in the cooperative’s bylaws
  • Not be an employee or close relative of a current employee or board member

How to submit your application

There are two ways to become a candidate:

  1. Nomination by Committee:
  • A Nomination Committee, appointed by the Board, will nominate qualified candidates.
  • If you’re interested in being a candidate, all completed required documentation must be submitted to NVEC by August 19, 2025, at 5 PM.

  1. Nomination by Petition:
  • Any eligible member may be nominated by submitting a petition signed by at least 15 members.
  • Petitions and required documentation must be submitted by September 12, 2025, at 5 PM.
