Navasota Valley Electric Cooperative’s management has been closely monitoring the rapidly evolving state of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and wants to assure you that we are taking measures to protect the health and safety of our members and employees while continuing to provide reliable electric service.
March 16, 2020- Modified Operations
As you are aware, there are cases of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) in Texas which has resulted in the Governor declaring a State of Emergency due to the virus spread. Navasota Valley Electric Cooperative, as a local employer and community-focused entity, is monitoring this situation very carefully and is taking proactive and preventative measures.
We take the responsibility to keep the power on for our members and the businesses and facilities in our service territory very seriously. Our employees must be able to perform their duties for that to happen. In a proactive response, Navasota Valley Electric Cooperative has decided to limit our business office visitors to members only as of Monday, March 16, 2020. Additionally, we encourage our members to conduct business with us over the phone, online, by utilizing our office drop boxes, and drive-thru location.
Modified operations include:
-Temporary suspension of non-essential training and travel.
-Plant and business office access will be prohibited to vendors.
-On-site visits will be rescheduled indefinitely.
-Employees must be screened for fever and asymptomatic for 48 hours prior to returning to work after all incidents of sick leave.
Hopefully, this will serve to help curb the spread of COVID-19 and work as a measure to protect our employees so that they can continue to work to maintain our critical infrastructure. The Cooperative itself is remaining open and will be fully staffed during our normal business hours.
We will continue to stay vigilant and monitor local, state, and federal recommendations. We will continue to update on the situation via our website and social media platforms as conditions warrant.
You can pay your bill online through our website, through the mail, you may still drop your payment off to our offices in the night deposit box located on the exterior of our facility, and the drive-thru in Mart. Our office staff is available to assist you over the phone and email currently and dispatch is staffed 24/7.
