2012 Government in Action Youth Tour

Dear Consumer:

Navasota Valley Electric is once again sponsoring two (2) students for the

“Government in Action Youth Tour” to Washington D. C.

The dates of the tour are June 14-June 22, 2012.  Included are air transportation, meals, lodging, insurance and admission charges associated with the tour.  The only money the youth need to bring is for souvenirs, film, snacks, etc.   Candidates must be Juniors or Seniors.

Students need to write an essay on “Electricity-What Is it?” Tell us how it is generated and how it gets to your home so that you can turn on the lights.   All entries need to be received in our office no later than February 10, 2012.  A judging committee will select the two finalists.

Their parents must be members of this Cooperative.  Winning participants MUST attend the NVEC Scholarship Banquet in August 2012.   

On a separate sheet of paper attached to the essay, they need to include: their name, parent’s names and addresses, telephone numbers and school name.

It will be 8 days of nonstop education and fun – an experience for any student to remember.
